dear santa

Sometimes shopping for others leads to certain, ahem, distractions.  So in the process of putting together my gift guides and getting my christmas shopping done, I've come up with a little wishlist for myself.  These are the things, great and small, that would make me extremely happy to find under the proverbial tree this year.  Hope Santa reads my blog. 

The details...

1. Cotton Pajamas - haven't seen these in person but they seem to be the perfect traditional manly pjs but cut for women, which is exactly what I love to sleep in.
2. Modal Bralette - I have one of these and absolutely love it.  Super soft, just enough lift and compression to do a little something, but still comfy enough to want to live in all the time.
3. Chi Jacket - wool-blend blazer by Won Hundred.  Manages to straddle both tailored and draped, looking effortlessly chic. 
4. Harrow Booties - from Rag & Bone.  I've been obsessing over new black boots this week, and I have a whole post coming on the subject (I'm nothing if not thorough), but for now, these seem to be the winners; they're sleek and tough, slim and low-cut, and I love that little peekaboo slit in the front of the ankle.
5. Bottega Veneta Perfume - the scent I've been flirting with for about 6 months now.  Luscious and warm.
6. Mociun Mismatched Studs - how beautiful are these little gems?  So elegant and tiny, and I love that they're a mismatched pair.  Pricey, yes, but oh so beautiful.
7. Chambray Shirt - do I even need to say anything?  We all love Madewell, and we all love chambray, so I'm guessing this is a winner.
8. Camera Bag Insert - I've been wondering why it's so hard to find a decent-looking camera bag, and it turns out I was asking the wrong question!  Ona makes this ingenious bag insert that will fit into most purses and convert your favorite one into a safe and solid carrier for your dslr. 
9. PS1 - yeah.  Right.  But I included it, just in case Santa's won the lottery this year. 
10. Steve Madden Olympiaa - I really wasn't going to hop on the wedge sneaker train, but ever since I fell in love with the Sukitas it's been gnawing at the back of my mind.  These seem like a wonderful option to scratch that itch without spending a ton of money on it.
11. 2013 Daily Planner - I actually bought the Moleskine Colour-A-Month for Husband last year and he didn't like it at all, so I appropriated it.  I absolutely loved the thin little monthly notebooks and would definitely repeat for 2013.

  2. I love those little mismatched studs - just that little hit of colour is so cheering. I think you summed up how everyone shops in your first sentence i.e. "Sometimes shopping for others leads to certain, ahem, distractions". I am so guilty of that one. I love shopping for my god daughter as it gives me licence to look in all the shops I like as well. That's how I get distracted. I had two shops I needed to go in to today for the Christmas Shopping and I managed to forget that big one called Harvey Nichols. Slapped myself on the forehead when I was back in the car and and then realised.

    1. Yeah, dangerous. I do most of my holiday shopping online so if I forget to go somewhere it's not as noticeable, less 'doh!' moments that way. But also possibly many more distractions.

    1. Excellent! You'll have to tell me how you like it. I actually got a different camera bag as a christmas gift and I love it, but I still think the idea of the Ona bag is genius.
