These are shoes that would make you feel like a superhero.  Like Batgirl or something.  And better still, they almost seem wearable.

It's not often you see shoes that feel really new, really different.  Laura Villasenin of Miista, however, seems to have no problem churning them out.  It's kind of exciting.

Some of her shoes walk that weird Jeffrey Campbell tranny-shoe line (no offense Jeffrey, I love some of your stuff, but you know the ones I'm talking about) but there's always an extra punch, an extra bit of edge, something that keeps it this side of vulgar.  I don't know that I would actually wear that much platform, my life has a lot of walking in it, but I sure do appreciate the sculptural beauty.  And some of these are so close to functional that it allows me to fantasize that they're not just for fantasy,
