strathcona stockings

Speaking of socks.  I've never worn anything so nutty on my feet in my life, but I'm feeling kind of wacky and adventurous, and these Strathcona Stockings with my new boots might be just the thing to scratch that itch without getting a piercing.

Canadian artist/designer Ryley O'Byrne makes wild handprinted stockings, available through her website and etsy, and I think I may have to get a pair.  Or a three-pack.  And it's not just the designs that are crazy; this photo from her lookbook just cracked me up and made me want some of her work even more:

Awesome.  More of her covetable socks...

Would you wear any of these?  The me of even just a year ago never would, but the me I am today kind of loves the idea.

    2. well, i do, but not online because in my country we still can't shop online without being charged triple for the customs fees and stuff, it's still not regulated well. so you know, i know a few great shops in Belgrade, if you're ever in town, just let me know ;)

  2. I think I'm going to pass but I can't deny the prints are stunning. I could wear them on a top but socks - that challenges me somewhat.

    1. Funny, isn't it? I think I used to feel the same way, but in reality on a top there would be so much more of the print and it would be so much more in your face, whereas a small dose on socks should feel more innocuous. But somehow it feels crazy and super bold on a sock, doesn't it?
