Happy Corpus!

Yes, it's a holiday here, and from what I learned on wikipedia (where I get all my important knowledge), they celebrate it in North Carolina too. Corpus Christi. Asked all my friends here what it was and they said "something about Jesus", so there's your country of good catholics for you. Turns out it's the celebration of the eucharist. Which (stop reading if you think you might be offended), is basically the celebration of the cookie. Which is a holiday I can get behind for sure. Had three digestives with my morning coffee to start the day off right.

My point is that on the Day of the Cookie, everything's closed here, which means no ballet class, which means sleep in (til 9!) and dawdle over coffee (and cookies!) a little extra, which means a visit to my long-neglected friends in wisconsin, shopbop.com.

Don't they look so comfy?

Love it over those baggy pants. Makes me think how perfect it would be over my black thai fisherman's pants. (did that come out wrong? like I stole a pair of pants from the black thai fisherman who works for me?)

Love it. I wore my Indiana Jones hat almost every day after I got it, but now that it's in the 80s and 90s, it seems inappropriate. Need a hot weather replacement. This looks like it could do the trick, beautifully shaped, yet somehow still slightly relaxed looking.

That's all for now. I'm going to see if I can find time to post more often. Now I'm gonna go fix myself some non-cookie breakfast that is a recent discovery of mine that needs a post all to itself. Maybe on the dragon. Stay tuned.
