This Year's Boots

I have a lot of boots. It's common knowledge across the continents. You walk into our apartment and it sort of looks like a boot museum. I don't know if that's a problem, or if so, what the solution is, but I know what the solution is not. It is not to stop buying boots. But I think honestly I am probably down to one pair a year. I think. Anyway, this year's pair is, in my mind, one of the best of the past 4 years. Check these babies out.

They're from a department store in Zurich called Globus, and they're actually the in-house brand. Globus also had a decent selection of Chie Miharas, which I die for, but when I applied the formula HxP/D the number was just too high (heel height times price divided by the number of days per month I would wear them). These beauties fulfill all mathematical requirements for perfect shoes. (see? it's science)

The nicest thing was that they day I got back to Madrid it was cool enough to wear them, and I wore them all day long, running errands and then out all night, and they were extremely comfortable. Not to mention perfect. I wore them just laced up til the hooks and the extra laces wrapped around the ankle, sort of scruffier that way. But no matter which way you lace 'em, I think they're amazing. Don't you think so?

  1. I want them. Not joking. I want them. OMG, wing tips AND boots?!! I'm in love.

You write funny. Love to read.

  2. I wan't them too. They are so cute. I'm in love. Not Joking

Say what?
