cut it out

Remember these?  That was over two years ago, and those damn Balenciaga cutouts still look so good to me.  Time passes though, and since then everyone else has been getting in on the game too.  I, for one, am pretty happy about it.  I know it's a little early to be looking at anything other than flip flops in this heat, but I am already starting to yearn for days when I can wear actual shoes.  But maybe they need to be shoes with holes in them, for built-in ventilation.

So many good options out there right now, so many styles to choose from...

I find myself deeply attracted to so many of these cutout shoes.  A few standouts though: the Everly has been on my radar for a while now and I still love how it manages to be badass without being clunky.  The concept of 'monk shoes' is new to me, but I'm seeing them pop up in so many places right now, and I have to say I really like them as good solid shoe shape.  And I know the D'Orsay flats aren't really cutouts, but they're so open and breathable that I had to include them.  Oh, and those minimarket oxfords are pretty stellar too.
