unexpected florals

File these shoes under Will Never Be Mine.  First, because they're for men.  Second, because they're from Dolce & Gabbana and cost 700 euros.  No matter though, I can just admire this work of art from afar.  Yes, those flowers are actually cross-stitched directly onto the suede brogue.  No appliques or trompe l'oeil here.

More eye candy...

Also available in fifty shades of grey on shiny black leather.  But if you're going with embroidered flowers on your oxfords, you might as well go all the way, don't you think?

  1. Haha I'm trying to think if I know any guys who would wear these. Or who could afford them.

    1. So true. I know neither ;) Still, gotta admit that in the abstract, these shoes are amazing.

  2. I think they brought out a slipper version last year and I seriously loved those. The slipper loafers I could do but not the brogues - still have a problem with brogues and still looking for the right pair. They will come ... as did the black boots.

    1. So funny to me that slipper loafers are more wearable to you than brogues. To me a brogue is such a basic staple shoe shape, but the loafer feels so wacky. I've never had a pair of them and honestly don't know if I would ever feel like I could pull them off. Thank god there's tons of both brogues and slipper shoes out there in the world - they've got us both covered!

  3. Acne has some really cool floral shoes this season. Have you seen them?

    1. I had seen the pumps but just googled again and saw those loafers (not to mention the sneakers). Those are gorgeous. I still do love the fact that these d&g brogues are actually embroidered rather than printed, which is something I hadn't seen before, but those Acne loafers are pretty damn beautiful in their own right! Also, just popped by your closet sale, what a great idea!
